HULAKS MOURN PASSING

Alina Maria Hulak, mother of two prominent Saskatoon hockey players, diedTuesday after a brave battle with cancer। She was 48. Her youngest child, Derek, is a forward with the Saskatoon Blades. The Regina Pats respectfully traded the 17year-old winger to his hometown Blades in January so that he could be close to his mother. Alina Hulak is also survived by her husband Jozef,son Daniel and daughter Michelle. Dan, the eldest, played four seasons with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies after a four-year Western Hockey League career with Swift Current and Portland.The funeral service for Alina Hulak is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church (301 Ave.Y S).
