Cougars take two from hockey Huskies
In men’s hockey at Regina, the Huskies dropped a 3-2 decision to the Cougars. Matt Girling and Curtis Austring scored for the Dogs, whose conference record slipped to 1-2. Caine Pearpoint, with two, and Jason Weitzel tallied power-play goals for the Cougars. “The same-old sleepy hold,” Saskatchewan coach Dave Adolph said. “They scored two cheesy power-play goals in the third period.” Regina is 1-2. The teams meet again tonight at 7 p.m. at Rutherford Rink.
