No. 1 Huskies earn 5-0 shut out to sweep Dinos
SASKATOON SK - Hockey fans have nothing to complain about this weekend. A beautiful comeback after being down 4-0, and tonight the CIS number one ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies shut out the University of Calgary Dinos 5-0 at Rutherford Rink. With Thomas Vicars facing 30 shots in net, there wasn't anything he was going to let by.
Canada West scoring leader Dean Beuker got two more points, getting the Huskies first goal and then an assist on the second. Four other Huskies earned goals: Matt Girling, Derek Endicott, Alekcei McAvoy and Colin Johnson.
The Dogs outshot the Dinos 40-30. The Dinos drop to 7-11-2 and the Huskies improve to 14-3-3. The Huskies are home again next weekend, hosting the UBC Thunderbirds.
