Cougars end undefeated streak

REGINA SK - After a close game last night that ended in a Huskie victory, the Regina Cougars were out for revenge tonight and that they got. The Cougars rebounded from last nights disappointing 3-2 loss to the CIS #1 ranked Saskatchewan Huskies, with a decisive 5-1 victory. The game marked the end of the Huskies undefeated streak, that would have been up to 14 games tonight.
The Cougars received scoring from Caine Pearpoint (2), Chad Anderson (2) and Lee Schaefer while Matt Girling got the lone goal for the Huskies.
The Cougars were led by the play of second year goaltender Clint Chalmers who stopped 31 of the 32 shots directed his way. Thomas Vicars registered the loss for the Huskies allowing four goals on 24 shots in 42:54 minutes of play. He was replaced after the fourth Cougar goal by Jeff Harvey who finished out the game allowing one goal on 15 shots.
